Coptic Gospel of Thomas-- some Scholars theorize Thomas did not use the New Testament to underlay its text but Thomas contains sayings like that of the missing "Q" source.

1-- There are only very few 'verbal parallels' between Thomas and the New Testament.

2-- Closely related to the Lost "Q" source but contains things, not in the Q source or the NT.

3-- If Thomas did not use the canonical gospels or the Q source, but contains saying like the Q source and has some similarity of the Synoptics, then it would be plausible Thomas contains sayings before Matthew Luke or Mark and could contain some "actual words or sayings of Jesus."

Scholars date the Coptic gospel of Thomas around 120-130 AD and shares some Gnostic Myth aspects. There are some Greek fragments that we will add to this page at some point.
