Did Jesus actually say the statements in the New Testament? That type of thinking points to the gospels being written in the first person, and we have an original text that underlays all translations. Scholars agree the canonical gospels were written in the third person, not an eyewitness to the accounts they narrated, written decades later. We hear this from new Christians, but to come through SB Pastor(s) what a letdown. The Pentecostals most thinkers would expect this, but not leaders from the SBC. Spoon fed SBC versus-- SBC is just as guilty as the Watchtower in understanding, pushing the theology over clear meanings, forcing it to fit.
Male only Leadership-- Women have an active role in Southern Baptist churches. They can participate in many areas of church service, such as serving on boards, faculties, and mission teams. Women are not permitted to serve as ministers. Men alone are ordained to be pastors. SBC favors the Pastoral Letter of Timothy and neglects thinking about Corinthians critically. Tanakh stateswoman rulers and Judges and that too, stabs at the core of SBC theology. What about Thelca?
Who dictated the letter of Timothy?
1Timothy: "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,"
1Corinthians: "Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,"
Paul is stated to have authored or dictated the letter's, but if he did, Paul must have been nuts because he contradicts himself in theology.
Young's Literal Translation
1 Corinthians 11:5
"and every woman praying or prophesying with the head uncovered, doth dishonor her own head, for it is one and the same thing with her being shaven."
1 Timothy 2:11-12
"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man: she must be quiet."
Could you be the dictator of two letters and have contradictory statements like this in theology? If so, you would be a classified heretic, something is seriously wrong with SBC scholarship. The editing of Corinthians is contradicting, not Paul, Paul never taught what editors and forgers of the second Century did. Pauls theology was not like this, the authentic letters prove it.
1 Corinthians 14:34-35
"As in all the congregations of the Lord’s people. Women should remain silent in the churches, They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.?"
This is not Pauline-- this is second Century theology. look at Corinthians 11:5, women are praying and prophesying in the assembly of believers, some editor, later, has tampered with this section. Copy and paste job is what it looks like. 1Corinthians is well agreed by scholars to be authentic Pauline, however, Timothy is forged and therefore not disputed much. Along with other twists in theology, Timothy is a fail, and therefore the SBC is errant in scholarship, after all, this is a trickled down Catholic canon.
Note on 1 Cor. 14:34-35 - We recently discovered this section is not in the "same order" arrangement throughout all manuscripts, therefore the verses must have been added into the text by an editor sometime later.
Grace Baptist Church

Pastor Doug Criswell-- Critical thinking will prove, the Southern Baptist Commissions haunting scholarship, pushing a slanted truth, one that is very errant according to their own statements-- The Bible is the word of God and contains no errors.

Timothy and Forgery-- "The author of First Timothy have been traditionally identified as the Apostle Paul. He is named as the author of the letter in the text. Nineteenth and twentieth-century scholarship questioned the authenticity of the letter, with many scholars suggesting that First Timothy, along with Second Timothy and Titus, are not original to Paul, but rather to an unknown Christian writing sometime in the late-first-to-mid-2nd century. Most scholars now affirm this view. As evidence for this perspective, they put forward that the Pastoral Epistles contain 306 words that Paul does not use in his unquestioned letters, that their style of writing is different from that of his unquestioned letters, that they reflect conditions and a church organization not current in Paul's day, and that they do not appear in early lists of his canonical works" Direct quote- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Epistle_to_Timothy
Mark 2:26 historical mistake-- Mark quotes "Abiathar was the high priest” and this incident in David’s life is only recorded in; 1 Sam 21.1-7. "Ahimelech is mentioned as the priest," Abiathar, his son, would later on become the priest but he is not introduced to the narrative for another chapter (22.20).
Where is the book of Jasher? Joshua 10:13 “And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher?” I am sure the entire world would like to know the answer to that.
Written in Isaiah the prophet? Mark 1:2 (NIV) "As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I am sending my messenger before your face, who shall prepare your way.” The Old Testament verse whose words comes closest is Malachi 3:1, the correction was made in modern Greek translations, and the word "Isaiah" was removed, or rendered to read this way: "As it is written in the prophets," James Stewart Trans.
