Ray Hagins

Deciteful and Tricky

 Scholarly Skepticism

We have researched many videos and lectures of Ray and we have discovered a very haunting hidden secret he is hiding from his people.

Ray sounds good and sweet until you get to his level of understanding and think, now what, and when you do decide to put some of Rays own teachings to the test, you will be shocked at the discovery.  Ray Hagins was tossed a slanted fake history newspaper and he has swallowed the bait hook line and sinker.

Ray has a slanted history taught to him by no reliable source, no scholar at all, he just picks up a Book at a local shop and never hears the other side of the case.

We did just as Ray suggested, researched out what he was saying, put it to the test, contacted him and challenged him.   We contacted Ray and asked him to read up on the Historical Christ through various Scholarly Books on the subject, we received no reply at all.   We also again responded, and as the first time, no reply, so we are posting our research to the public.

Here is a Video of Ray Hagins with African Village assembly.

Ray is no Bible Scholar -- Willam Lane Craig is.

Looking farther we see many Scholars that have taught about the Historical Jesus

         Josephus and Tacitus

There are three non-Christian sources which are typically used to study and establish the historicity of Jesus—two mentions in Josephus and one mention in the Roman source Tacitus.  According to John Dominic Crossan; Jesus was crucified is as sure as anything historical can ever be, since both Josephus and Tacitus ... agree with the Christian accounts on at least that basic fact. Crossan, John Dominic  Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography.  page 145

Maurice Casey, theologian and scholar of New Testament and early Christianity, stated that the belief among professors that Jesus existed is generally completely certain. According to Casey, the view that Jesus did not exist is "the view of extremists", "demonstrably false" and "professional scholars generally regard it as having been settled in serious scholarship long ago"
In his 1977 book Jesus: An Historian's Review of the Gospels, classical historian and popular author Michael Grant concluded that "modern critical methods fail to support the Christ-myth theory". In support of this, Grant quoted Roderic Dunkerley's 1957 opinion that the Christ myth theory has "again and again been answered and annihilated by first-rank scholars". At the same time, he also quoted Otto Betz's 1968 opinion that in recent years "no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non-historicity of Jesus — or at any rate very few, and they have not succeeded in disposing of the much stronger, indeed very abundant, evidence to the contrary". In the same book, he also wrote:If we apply to the New Testament, as we should, the same sort of criteria as we should apply to other ancient writings containing historical material, we can no more reject Jesus' existence than we can reject the existence of a mass of pagan personages whose reality as historical figures is never questioned.

Graeme Clarke, Emeritus Professor of Classical Ancient History and Archaeology at Australian National University has stated: "Frankly, I know of no ancient historian or biblical historian who would have a twinge of doubt about the existence of a Jesus Christ — the documentary evidence is simply overwhelming"

Now in the next video, we can see Ray uses a Circle, and he says his knowledge is in a circle, and there is more knowledge outside of that circle.

Notice Ray does not think he is in this Circle, he is teaching us to use Circle Logic.  But what happens when we use a Scholars Logic,  we get out of Rays Circle of logic and discover he is the one in the Circle.

In this next video below, a researcher that is well informed about the Osirus and the Isis story. Notice Ray never gives us details of Osirus and Horus, the young Researcher in this video is well informed on the subject.   We do not agree with everything the young man says, but at least he does have the Osirus and Horus story more together than Ray Hagins and makes valid points.
